Donna Jo Napoli writes for all ages, from picture books through young adult books.
Her awards include
Her books have been translated into Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Farsi, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and will be in Greek, Thai, and Polish soon.
Her writing ranges from contemporary fiction to fantasy to historical novels. She also writes mathematics tales and science tales as well as books geared toward helping Deaf people learn to read.
She is happy to do school visits, including presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, and writing workshops.
She is also happy to talk at meetings and conferences of educators, librarians, and writers. She has a focus on encouraging new writers, and on meeting the challenges of literacy, particularly in the areas of mathematics and science and in all educational matters concerning the Deaf.
She does writing workshops on demand in all the areas she publishes in.
